On Monday, June 25, the day before the 2019 WBENC National Conference & Business Fair, WBENC galvanized the support of Corporate Members and Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs) to deliver a high-quality one-day workshop for students in Baltimore.
To facilitate the workshop, WBENC partnered with Planet Mogul, a program which develops the next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators, and workforce and community leaders by providing an intellectual and interactive learning environment for elementary-middle school students. WBEs and representatives from Corporate Member sponsors Bristol-Myers Squibb and General Motors facilitated sessions teaching the students valuable life skills such as brainstorming, design, and (for the older kids) advice on resumes and job search.
Planet Mogul’s Moguls-In-Training Workbook/Curriculum weaves business, entrepreneurship, and industry-specific education across 17 industries into innovative activities that challenge and expand student thinking. By working with younger students and providing them with exposure to successful WBEs and Corporate Members, WBENC is helping to create opportunities and open doors for the next generation of innovators and changemakers.
