As announced at our November meeting in Washington, D.C., to great support and fanfare, WBENC is partnering with WBENC-Certified WBE and 2022 WBENCPitch Finalist, Nerdbugs, to spread love and support to children and families facing health diagnoses and treatments!
The ENTIRE WBENC network has the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful Community Impact Initiative!
We all know someone or have been personally touched by children facing illnesses and health challenges, and hospitals are critical to their care and recovery. These amazing Nerdbugs plushies will become another powerful aspect to their comfort and care. This initiative is also personal to our incredible President & CEO, Pamela Prince Eason, whose father faced lung cancer and was cared for by Tennessee hospitals and staff.
This Community Impact Initiative is part of our 2023 WBENC National Conference activation. WBENC is coordinating a community impact campaign to donate Nerdbug plushies and monetary donations to 2 children’s hospitals in Tennessee: Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and Niswonger Children’s Network.

About WBENC-Certified WBE Dr. Ronak Mehta and Nerdbugs Organ Plushies
Nerdbugs were created and inspired by CEO, MWBE and Physician, Dr. Ronak Mehta, combining her passion for medicine and her love for plush toys.
The novelty line boasts handcrafted quality plush organs, intended to inform and educate kids and adults in science, and be a comforting gift for children going through cancer treatments and organ transplants.
