Special thank you to our 2019 National Conference & Business Fair Co-Chairs: Capital One, EY, Pfizer Inc., Ampcus Inc., APCO Worldwide, and Omega World Travel.

A little over a month ago, thousands of entrepreneurs and corporate professionals flocked to Baltimore, MD for one of the biggest events of its kind for women business owners. And from what you have told us, the 2019 WBENC National Conference & Business Fair did not disappoint!

For those who attended, we hope you have had ample opportunity to rest your feet, catch up on email, and then get right back down to business, leveraging all of the amazing new connections you made. If you missed it this year, now is the time to save the date for next year’s conference – we are heading to Georgia, from June 23-25, 2020.

For all, take a look at our photo recap for some highlights from this tremendous event.

What you won’t necessarily see in those photos is the incredible amount of work that goes into executing an event of this magnitude and providing an experience that is inspiring, educational, meaningful, and productive. It is no small feat, but the result is truly a testament to the power and strength of the WBENC ecosystem.

Experiencing the National Conference & Business Fair means witnessing our ecosystem in action, which is only possible through the support and dedication of our generous Co-Chairs and sponsors, the engagement and commitment from our partner organizations, the creativity and expertise from our speakers and presenters, and the drive and determination from WBEs and Corporate Members, ready to do business.

But what is even more exciting to me is how the WBENC ecosystem continues to intersect with so many other networks, allowing our event attendees to not only experience the power of WBENC but also explore broader business ecosystems, whether that be by industry, interest, region, or something else. This intersection means more connections, more growth, and ultimately more success for women-owned businesses and those who support them.

Speaking of success, I want to congratulate all of the WBEs who participated in the WBENCPitch tournament, presented by PepsiCo, and recognize the winner, Kathleen Wood of Suzy’s Swirl. Your passion and energy are infectious!

I am also immensely proud of our partnership with Planet Mogul and the initiative to help inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and changemakers. We played this video at conference, but in case you missed it, please watch a recap of our one-day Planet Mogul workshop in Baltimore.

I will wrap up with a simple reminder. Though our events mark an exciting time to come together as a network, the WBENC ecosystem is active and thriving throughout the year. This fall, we are hosting multiple executive education programs, including the Women in Technology Program, the Tuck-WBENC Strategic Growth Program, the WBENC Energy Executive Program, and the Robert Half Accelerated Leadership Development Program. Our Regional Partner Organizations are also extremely active this fall, with numerous events, webinars, and opportunities. Don’t miss out!

Be sure to check our blog and calendar of events to learn about new opportunities and resources as soon as they become available.

Sincerely,

Pamela Prince-Eason
