WBENC is continuing to foster a community for LGBTQ+ women entrepreneurs with a new Peer Groups + Community Building session.
Last month, WBENC celebrated Pride Month with the launch of a new program, Women & Pride, and a kickoff event with an engaging keynote led by Jennifer Brown from Jennifer Brown Consulting, followed by a “power panel” of LGBTQ+ leaders. From the discussion, we learned that for LGBTQ+ women, who are workplace minorities in both gender and sexual orientation, a feeling of isolation is common—and particularly challenging—in work environments. Furthermore, studies show that LGBTQ+ women are underrepresented at every stage of the management pipeline.
Enter Women & Pride Peer Groups + Community Building! At WBENC we know that for women entrepreneurs, cultivating a network for support, knowledge sharing and advice is a vital step to success, overcoming challenges and scaling in business.
Join the Women & Pride Peer Groups + Community Building session August 12, 3:00-4:30pm ET. The session, designed to address the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ women business owners, will strengthen the WBENC entrepreneurial ecosystem by creating a platform for attendees to share resources, strategize to overcome problems, and form new partnerships.
