I joined the WBENC team in June of 2016, and my first six-months were a sprint up a steep learning curve. We have an extensive network here, with WBEs, Corporate and Government Members and Regional Partner Organizations. In my efforts to immerse myself in all that is WBENC, I scoured the WBENC website, incessantly pestered my coworkers for answers but I finally turned to Insights--our online resource library.
Insights provides exclusive access to relevant and important information to our entire network, whether you are one of our 14,000 WBEs, 300 Corporate Members, 14 RPOs, or a member of the WBENC Staff. This information ranges from sponsored webinars, videos, whitepapers, graphics and more. With Insights, our WBEs gain access to information on industry forecasts, procurement trends, government contracting and skill building. Meanwhile, WBENC Corporate and Government Members can find best practices on supplier diversity, up-to-date market findings on women demographics and resources for sustainable diversity programs. But that’s not all.
2017 brought exciting new updates to Insights. If you have already visited Insights this year you may have already spotted the major differences. Insights’ updated platform is not only sleeker in design, but more user friendly. For instance, users now have access to filters, so they can easily locate information most pertinent to them.
Ultimately, this resource helped me familiarize myself with WBENC’s network and the ways in which we meet the goals of our WBEs as well as Corporate and Government Members .If you want to gain new insights into WBENC and our extensive network, log on to Insights and start to explore! If you don’t know where to start, here are a few of my favorite suggestions:
- Sponsored content provided by EY, Kellogg, ManpowerGroup, and Shell. Each of these separate uploads provide useful information for WBEs, directly from the minds of our corporate members to you!
- How to do Business With__. One of our new membership benefits includes a chance for our corporate members to share important information and resources to supply WBEs with the tools they need to be successful in doing business with our corporate members. Check out some of the uploads from IBM and EY!
- Supplier Diversity Professional Series. The content for this series is driven by the needs of our National Corporate Members. This educational and idea-sharing series addresses the critical issues that professionals face on a daily basis in a solutions-based format. Once the live webinar has taken place, it is uploaded on Insights for those to re-watch! Note: this is available to Corporate Members only.
- WBENCLink 2.0 Training Session. Have you had a chance to explore our brand new supplier diversity database, WBENCLink 2.0? While the platform as a whole is very user-friendly, I highly recommend watching these videos. Whether you are a WBE or Corporate Member, you can gain something useful tips and tricks from this hour long webinar.
