Overview

WBENC is excited to partner with Robert Half International to offer the Robert Half Accelerated Leadership Development Program (ALD). The Accelerated Leadership Development program is a cohort-style leadership program designed to examine three key leadership areas: Leading with Character, Collaborative Leadership, and Making a Strategic Contribution.

Leading with Character focuses on becoming an authentic leader through practicing courage and building critical self-awareness.

Collaborative Leadership focuses on cultivating collaboration in teams and organizational culture, while acknowledging and mitigating the barriers that exist.

Making a Strategic Contribution focuses on mindfully and intentionally making a strategic, significant, and sustainable contribution to the good of the organization and greater community.


Program Dates & Locations

Two Options

  • Nashville, TN:  July 15 – 19, 2019

  • San Francisco/Bay Area, CA:  November 4 – 8, 2019


Program Objectives

  • Participate in prework assessments and virtual coaching sessions

  • Complete required prework and evening work throughout program

  • Build critical self-awareness

  • Acknowledge and intentionally navigate potential leadership shortcomings and blind spots

  • Have clarity around leadership values and understand the implications of these values on leadership, teams and business

  • Understand the importance of balancing competition and collaboration within teams and the organization

  • Experience the value in developing, empowering and creating a positive team environment and organizational culture

  • Understand the importance of balancing competition and collaboration within teams and the organization


Who Should Attend

Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs) who are committed to growing their leadership skills, behaviors and competencies such as self-awareness, communication, building collaborative relationships, developing teams and strategic thinking.


Participant Selection Criteria & Eligibility

  • Currently in good standing as a WBENC-Certified Women's Business Enterprise

  • Must be the owner of the company

  • Have a minimum of three years of experience running a business and at least three employees

  • Maintain a minimum annual sales volume of $500,000

  • Demonstrate leadership maturity and are committed to further building leadership skills


Application Process & Program Costs

The application period will close May 31, 2019.


Program Tuition & Costs

Tuition for the Accelerated Leadership Development Program is generously covered by Robert Half International.

Participant is responsible for travel to and accommodations for their stay during the program dates. Those accepted into the program must complete the entire program to graduate. Acceptance into the program may not be deferred to the following program year to avoid cancellation fees. Partial attendance, including tardiness to class, excessive absences during class, or late arrival or early departure will not be eligible for graduation.


Cancellation Policy

If the applicant withdraws from the program 45 days before the program start date, they must notify WBENC. If cancellation occurs within 45 days of the start date or the applicant does not complete the program in its entirety, they will be charged $1,500 which must be remitted via credit card to the accounting department within ten business days, care of Ashley Jackson at ajackson@wbenc.org.

  • July 15-19 – Nashville Program

  • November 4-8 – San Francisco/Bay Area Program
