Continuing to scale the family business is a top priority for the next three years. She has been involved in various scaling programs such as The Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative as well as Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur Access Network and is about to embark in Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses Program.

Yadira has a degree in International Commerce specializing in Agricultural Business and an MBA from EGADE Business School of Tec de Monterrey.

She is proud to have grown up in Pilsen, her upbringing offering a unique perspective of the resilience and grit of the Mexican community in Chicago. These are foundational values she carries with her today, committed to development and growth not only for herself but for those around her, the organization and most importantly her team.

Having the opportunity to spend her childhood summers in Monterrey, Mexico as well as having lived in Mexico from 2001-2010 allowed her to fully immerse herself in two different cultures. This brought a deep understanding of how business is conducted in both countries and the ability to communicate in fluent English and Spanish on a business level.

As a first-generation Latina, Yadira shares a commonality with others who grew up in family entrepreneurial ventures. It is due to her personal experience that she seeks to partner up with people and organizations in pursuit of building the Latino community up in terms of financial, entrepreneurial and personal success in an authentic and impactful way to close the generational wealth gap. Being a founding member and inaugural President of the Pilsen Chamber of Commerce; sitting on the fundraising committee for Iskali, an organization that empowers young Latinos to become transformational leaders, are key ways in which Yadira has been able to proactively support the Chicago Latino community. She is also a member of the International Women’s Forum, a members only global organization of C-Level executives focused on advancing women’s leadership via conferences, development, and showcasing.
