Shawn Oakcrum is the Head of Category Management and Strategic Sourcing at MassMutual with over 20+ years of Procurement experience ranging from Category Management, Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Contracts.  Prior to joining MassMutual, Shawn was with a top 10 Fortune 500 healthcare distribution company and was responsible for leading a team executing Category strategies for healthcare products that accounted for $600 million in customer sales.  Prior to that, Shawn was with one of the largest financial institutions for 14 years, where he held many different roles in the Procurement organization while helping to drive strategic results tied to category-specific opportunities. 

Shawn’s experience in the Financial and Healthcare industries has helped shape him into a dedicated leader and problem-solver who excels at managing the end-to-end procurement life cycle.  His leadership beliefs are rooted in empowering his team through passion and commitment to helping to understand the purpose of their roles to the organization.
