Group Brand Marketing Manager

Perla Campos is the proud Mexican-American daughter of a Mexican immigrant single mom. She was born and raised in the small town of Granbury, Texas and is the first of her family to go to university and obtain an undergrad and higher degree. She attended Stanford University as a Gates Millenium Scholar and graduated in 2012 with dual Bachelor’s degrees in International Relations & Mexican American Studies, with honors. She also holds a Masters degree from the Stanford University Graduate School of Education.

Perla is a Group Brand Marketing Manager at Google and has worked on a variety of products including Google AdWords marketing, consumer product marketing for Google Search & Google Play, and corporate brand and reputation marketing in both Spain and the US over the last decade. She is currently the Global Marketing Lead for Google Doodles – the fun & surprising changes made to the Google logo to celebrate events, people, places, and things that impact/have impacted local culture. She works with the Doodle team globally to launch over 450 Doodles a year, with a special focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the US and abroad.  She has played a lead role on a number of Doodles celebrating underrepresented communities such as the video Doodle celebrating Selena Quintanilla (her all time favorite project).
