Monica Hernandez

MAS Global

Founder & CEO

20+ years of experience in the Technology space. Born and raised in Colombia, moved to the USA at the age of 21, after earning a software engineering degree in Colombia thanks to a full academic scholarship that transformed her life. Monica began her career in the heart of Texas, cultivating her skills in Application Development and Digital initiatives. Subsequently, her role as a Consultant for Oracle catapulted her onto the international stage, where she played a pivotal role in leading enterprise-scale global technology programs throughout the United States and Europe.

Her immigrant background and journey to the US were a strong motivation to start MAS Global, a mid-size Digital Modernization, Data Engineering and AI services firm based in Florida with nearshore development hubs in Medellin, Colombia, and now a strategic partner to several Fortune 500 corporations like JPMorgan Chase, Johnson Controls and Dell. Monica and MAS Global have earned numerous industry accolades, including Deloitte Technology Fast500 and Inc5000 by Inc Magazine. Monica was selected to the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women Program for top scaled women-owned companies and recognized by HITEC as one of the Top 100 Hispanics in the Technology Industry. Monica is an advocate and mentor for women and Latinos in tech and supports scholarships in tech just as the one she received.

MAS Global’s name embodies Monica’s mission, where “MAS” not only means “More” in Spanish but signifies her vision of creating a Movement that empowers women and Latinos, mirroring her own journey. Through the 1 for 1 MAS Impact Program, for each MAS Global team member assisting clients with software engineering and digital projects, they pave the way for one woman or underrepresented talent to access tech and STEM education. In her commitment to giving back, Monica established the MAS Future foundation, concurrently supporting Latino-owned companies as a member of Angeles Investors. All this, while balancing the roles of a mother of two and hosting the “MAS Impact: Driving Diversity in Tech and Business” Podcast.
