Michelle Braun is Vice President, Global Indirect Sourcing & Operations for Merck, responsible for leadership of all Indirect Sourcing initiatives across Corporate, IT, Marketing, Logistics, Legal, Travel & Meetings, and Fleet categories, amongst others and for continuing the collaboration and alignment activities with Finance and business leaders around the globe. She is responsible for managing a spend of $9.2B with 250 people in 48 countries around the world.

Prior to joining Merck, Michelle worked at General Motors and held the most recent position of Executive Director Program Purchasing where she was responsible for current and future program profitability and launch execution. Previously, she was Executive Director Interior and Safety where she led a purchasing team responsible for procurement of $10.8B Interior and Safety parts for all vehicle platforms globally. She is a seasoned Purchasing and Supply Chain professional with 32 years of experience across multiple industries including grocery, retail, high tech, automotive and pharmaceutical.

Michelle holds a Masters of Logistics from Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
