Mary Fehlig

Mary Fehlig is the founder and president of The Fehlig Group, a full-service management consulting firm in sustainability (aka ESG aka CSR.) Since 1993, The Fehlig Group has helped companies develop comprehensive sustainability strategies. Mary Fehlig assists clients in the full spectrum of sustainability strategies, including strategic community involvement, environmental impact, workplace practices, and supply chain management.

The Fehlig Group’s clients range in size from Fortune 500 companies to local small businesses. Mary believes that the ways to enact sustainability are as individual as the values which define each client. She supports the efforts of business owners and managers in identifying and implementing the practices which best reflect their core values and business goals.

Mary’s past and current clients include: Marriott International, Fannie Mae, BAE Systems, Astra Zeneca, Host Hotels and Resorts, Washington Gas, The Corporation for National Service, The Points of Light Foundation, Chubb Insurance Company, Community Health Charities, and many others.

A recognized leader in the field of corporate social responsibility, Mary was elected to serve on the global board of directors of Business for Social Responsibility and has a long history of engagement with related organizations such as Green America, Corporate Volunteer Councils, and the Sustainable Business Networks.  Mary was also a practitioner advisor for Georgetown University’s Center for Social Impact Communications. Prior to founding The Fehlig Group, Mary worked in business development and systems implementation for Xerox and IBM.
