Founder and CEO

Kirsten Liston is the Founder and CEO of Rethink Compliance, and she’s spent the last 25 years helping companies build better ethics and compliance programs. Rethink serves over 200 global companies, reaching millions of employees each year with training and tools designed to actually change behavior and culture—not just check boxes.

Additionally, Kirsten’s two-day workshop “Creating Effective Training” with the SCCE has enrolled more than 1,000 compliance professionals in the last five years. Early in her career, Kirsten worked as a journalist covering legal and business topics. She’s written two books on compliance training and entrepreneurship, and her articles have appeared in industry publications like Compliance Week and Directors and Boards. She’s also a regular speaker and has taught at Fordham Law, University of Denver Law, and the Practicing Law Institute.

Under Kirsten’s leadership, Rethink has been named to the Inc. 5000 list five times and recognized as one of Denver’s fastest-growing businesses. Kirsten has been honored on the Inc Female Founder 500 and as a Colorado Titan 100, an Enterprising Women of the Year, and a Woman2Watch by WPO and JPMorgan Chase. She’s a member of the Women Presidents Organization and EY’s Entrepreneurial Winning Women program.
