Karen Tobler is a Director of Supplier Diversity in Target Procurement. For over 6 years, she has worked in both retail and non-retail categories, currently supporting Marketing, HR, Legal, Finance, International Program and Owned Brands. Karen specializes in assisting diverse-owned businesses as they navigate opportunities to gain business at the right place and time with the right strategic alignment, ensuring that they can increase their odds of success.

Her strong background in coaching, business development, marketing, and project management makes her a go-to person for diverse entrepreneurs and industry colleagues. She’s been an Expo West Nexty Judge and a featured speaker at several conferences and accelerator programs, including Forward Founders. In addition, Karen serves as an Officer for the NMSDC Retail Industry Group, a consortium of 35 of the largest retailers in the country committed to advancing and championing opportunities for diverse suppliers. She also serves as a Tri-Chair for Target’s Hispanic Business Council, an employee resource group.

As an immigrant from Latin America, Karen loves sharing her culture with her young daughter, husband, and chosen family. If you catch her shopping at a Target store, you’ll probably find her pointing out all the fabulous diverse-owned businesses on the shelves.
