Founder and CEO

Hannah Awada is the Founder and CEO of Hummus Goodness, a woman-owned food company redefining hummus with real ingredients, bold flavors, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. A Toledo, Ohio native with a background in education, Hannah’s entrepreneurial journey began in Shanghai, China, where she launched her first hummus business, Hummus House, selling homemade hummus to the expat community. 

After returning to the U.S., Hannah recognized a need for fresh, authentic hummus and founded Hummus Goodness in Michigan in 2019. What started in a church kitchen has grown into a brand in approximately 1,500 retail locations nationwide. Today, Hummus Goodness can be found at retailers including Meijer, King Soopers, Giant Food, and Natural Grocers, as well as in foodservice channels. 

Hannah is passionate about building a brand that makes ingredient-conscious shopping easier for families while proving that women-founded companies can scale without losing the authenticity and values that made consumers fall in love with them.
