Elizabeth Walsh

Women's Business Enterprise Center - East

President

Elizabeth Walsh is the president of WBEC-East. Ms. Walsh joined the organization in December 2017 and merged the non-profits to create a full continuum of services to entrepreneurs. WBEC-East is one of 14 Regional Partner Organizations providing the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council certification for women-owned businesses.

Dedicated to ameliorating the lives of workers, the growth of businesses, and the economic vitality of the tri-state region, Ms. Walsh has spent her career in workforce and economic development.

Ms. Walsh believes in consensus building and creating collaborative partnerships to advance supplier diversity initiatives and increase opportunities for women owned businesses. She has been a founder of two non-profit organizations including Suited for Success of Bucks County (PA). The Suited for Success organization provided free work and interview appropriate clothing to women reentering the workforce and served over 1500 clients a year.

Ms. Walsh has received local and national recognition; she was selected as one of 100 women volunteer leaders across the nation by the Eckerd Foundation for her contributions in advancing women’s causes. A mentoring program Ms. Walsh started, partnering disadvantaged young people with business leaders, received three prestigious ADDY awards for its marketing, recruitment, and outreach platform.

A native of Philadelphia and graduate of the University of Scranton, Ms. Walsh regularly engages in her passion for helping small businesses achieve success even after the workday ends. She volunteers her time with a local grocery co-op and farmers’ market, and volunteers with programs promoting manufacturing and STEM careers to girls. Ms. Walsh is the proud mother of Tony, a chef working in Atlanta, and her college student daughter, Sofia.
