Barbara Wichmann is the founder and CEO of ARTÉMIA Communications, a full-service strategic communications and marketing agency. The company is a WBENC-certified WBE headquartered in San Francisco. For 25 years, Barbara and her team have helped Fortune 100/500 companies, startups and government agencies around the globe effectively engage their target audiences.

She prioritizes DEIA in the areas of public outreach, corporate diversity and inclusion, strategic sourcing and recruiting as well as national advertising and in-language marketing.

Following the 2020 COVID 19 pandemic, she has led her agency in the development of on-demand learning modules through video as well as web-based AR-based platforms.

In addition to leading ARTÉMIA, Barbara serves on the board of WBEC-Pacific and chairs the WBENC Forum Government Committee. In January 2022, she was appointed to serve on the WIPP Education Institute’s Board of Directors. Additionally, she lectures regularly on strategic communications and sustainability.

Throughout the years, Barbara earned numerous recognitions for her work, as well as her efforts to support other WBEs. Most recently, she was nominated as “2021 WBE Advocate of the Year” as well as for the “2021 Cornerstone” Award.
