Ashwini Vasudeva is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in public accounting and various industries. As the Partner and Co-Founder of Astute, a Value-add Certified Accounting and Business Advisory firm, Ashwini plays a pivotal role in enabling companies to maintain compliance, recover lost revenues, and increase profitability.
As an outsourced CFO for clients, Ashwini Vasudeva leverages her extensive experience to provide valuable industry insights and implement a strategic approach for sustainable growth. Her expertise lies in conducting Licensing/Royalty Compliance Audits, managing Technical Accounting (ASC 606), overseeing R&D Tax Credit initiatives, and handling Forensic Audit-related work. In addition, Ashwini works closely with clients’ CFOs/Controllers to establish robust processes and controls within their businesses. She actively integrates the latest technologies to automate business processes, bringing in cutting-edge knowhow for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
Prior to co-founding Astute, Ashwini served prestigious publicly held companies in roles such as financial and internal auditor with KPMG, LLP. During her tenure, she developed Internal Audit and Intellectual Property/Royalty/Licensing Compliance Audit Programs for a diverse range of industries.
Her professional journey includes notable positions at KPMG, LLP, Life Technologies (now ThermoFisher Scientific), and Morpho Detection (now Smiths Group) before founding Astute. Her expertise spans across various industry sectors, including Technology (software and hardware), Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Semiconductor, Entertainment, Gaming, Construction, Telecommunication, and more.
Ashwini’s educational foundation comprises a Degree in Commerce & Economics from the University of Mumbai, India, and a BS in Accounting from California State University, East Bay. She has continued to enrich her education through participation in UCLA MDE programs and leadership courses.
Ms. Vasudeva’s business acumen, coupled with her strong communication skills, has consistently yielded financial benefits for her clients. Beyond her professional endeavors, she actively engages in speaking engagements where she imparts valuable knowledge on Financial Management, optimal business processes, and strategies for increasing cashflows to business owners, CEOs, and CFOs.
