April serves as the vice president, Chief Inclusion & Community Engagement Officer for Denny’s Corporation, the nation’s largest family dining restaurant operator with more than $2 billion in annual sales. April works directly with the company’s C-Suite and marketing team to create effective programs and partnerships to help strengthen and raise the profile of Denny’s work in diversity, its core products, and services. She has become a key team member in helping to roll out the company’s outreach for its major Hungry for Education program.

As part of Hungry for Education, the company has awarded more than $2.8 million in scholarships, recognizing academic achievement and students in elementary, high school and college who have worked in their communities to help end hunger. April has forged relationships with various diverse organizations, the Tom Joyner Foundation, the U.S. Pan American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation, the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI), the Urban League of the Upstate of South Carolina, the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, and the Magic Johnson Foundation to create the Hungry for Education scholarship program.
