Procurement Human Resources Category Manager

Angela Rankins-Jones is the Procurement Human Resources Category Manager at MassMutual Insurance Company. In this key leadership role, she is responsible for all aspects of Procurement Human Resources category strategy and execution overseeing contract supplier negotiations, leading and implementing project activities to support the HR business. In addition, she is responsible for building Procurement’s internal business stakeholder partnerships and engagement for implementation of Supplier Relationship Management activities and Supplier Diversity best practices which support the company’s $150 million commitment to utilizing underrepresented diverse businesses within MassMutual’s supply chain.

Angela has more than 25 years of experience spanning Procurement, Human Resources, HR Technology, and Professional Services Consulting working in various industry segments. Prior to joining MassMutual, she led the procurement North American Travel Mobility category at Bayer Crop Science and Global Travel Meetings and Events category at Monsanto Company.

Angela holds a Masters’ degree in Human Resources Management and Organizational Development from Webster University, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Arkansas and currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Management & Leadership Degree at Webster University.

She serves as Board Secretary for The Village Foundation of St. Louis; a member of the Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISM) where she serves as a leader of the Addressing Women’s Challenges Committee, ISM Women’s Community group. and active member within her local chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.
