Our Story

Busy Baby, an Army veteran and women-owned business, makes it easier for parents to get things done and enjoy life together with their baby by eliminating the common hassles of mealtime and everyday activities while supporting their baby’s development with the first-ever system of food-grade placemats, tethers and accessories that keep babies’ things within reach and off the floor, at home and on-the-go.

The 2025 Minnesota SBA Small Business Person of the Year, Beth launched her placemat and tether system product in 2020 as a home-based startup that now operates in a 7,000-square-foot facility and employs five people. Busy Baby makes eight interchangeable products that are now available at major retailers. The company’s “stop-drop” patented technology has been used to develop products for not only babies, but also seniors and individuals with disabilities.
