America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises:
Leading Program Distinctions 

Through WBENC’s vision of engagement and recognition, we celebrate companies that have strategically implemented processes, and driven results to support sustainable inclusion of WBEs in the corporate and government supply chains. America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises all have Leading Programs.  They are each committed to inclusion of WBEs to achieve their individual corporate business case and are equally committed to removing barriers to WBE business growth.

The selection of America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs) is conducted annually by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The list of Top Corporations is designed to recognize organizations who are choosing to integrate policies and programs across the corporation to enable growth and reduce barriers for women-owned businesses; increasing opportunity in new markets – both domestically, and international; fueling innovation; and empowering communities through economic growth and job creation. 

Each Top Corporation honoree has demonstrated continuous, effective practices leading to significant results; further reinforcing a strong business case for their organization, the development of WBEs, and breaking down barriers to WBE inclusion within their organization. The degree to which corporations leverage diversity and inclusion within their corporate culture to integrate sustainable Leading Programs for WBEs determines the company’s recognized distinction on the list: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum.


Bronze Distinction: includes companies with the Leading Programs designation, who are demonstrating strong results with the ability to sustain support for WBEs internally and externally.

Silver Distinction: includes companies with the Leading Programs designation who are sustaining results through their practices as their programs evolve with many identifiable strong components supporting WBEs.


Gold Distinction: includes companies with the Leading Programs designation who are sustaining results, evolving their programs and creating innovative and best practices that support WBEs, with many components of their program falling within the Top Quartile for all companies included in the list.


Platinum Distinction: includes companies with the Leading Programs designation who are in the Top Quartile of all companies included in the list, and are setting higher standards for leading practices, while driving innovation in all areas supporting women’s business enterprises.


  • Company is a WBENC National Corporate Member in good standing;

  • Company has at least one full-time employee dedicated to managing the Supplier Diversity function;

Requirements of Award Recipients:

  • Honorees must participate in the annual Summit & Salute help in March and the National Conference & Business Fair held in June, including:

  • Networking

  • Matchmaker sessions

  • Workshops – to include roles such as facilitation of sessions, panel participation, presentations, etc.

  • A C-Suite Executive must be available to participate in the Top Corporation programing and recognition which will occur during the annual Summit and Salute.

  • Your case study will be included in a WBENC publication (60 – day advanced notice will be provided and the final publication will be given to you for your review and approval.)


The America's Top Corporations for Women's Business Enterprises Awards presentation takes place during WBENC's Summit & Salute.
