Business Accelerator and Mentorship Program for Chemical Industry Women-Owned Enterprises

The WBENC Chemical Industry Accelerator is a premier acceleration program that fosters growth for the next generation of women-owned businesses in the Chemical Industry. WBENC is proud to invest in Women Owned enterprises within the Chemical sector through the support of our sponsors, BASF and Ecolab.

Program will operate on a 8-month timeline, beginning in March 2023 and concluding in October 2023. Sessions will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. EST.

PROGRAM DATES 

  • Kickoff & Orientation: March 20 – 23 (WBENC National Event)
  • 1st Session: Wednesday, April 19
  • 2nd Session: Wednesday, May 10
  • 3rd Session: Wednesday, June 7
  • 4th Session: Thursday, September 14
  • 5th Session: Thursday, October 12

The WBENC Chemical Industry group is excited to announce the second cohort of the Chemical Industry Accelerator.
The 2023 Chemical Industry Accelerator will launch with limited spaces available to maximize the impact and relationship building among the Corporations and WBEs in the small cohort with the goals of:

  • Increasing awareness of opportunities to do business with the Chemical Industry
  • Providing insights into the supply chain needs and requirements of this diverse industry
  • Support and foster insights and connections with experts and decision makers within the participating chemical corporations through classes and sponsor pod interactions

With the goal of leading to new business opportunities, this program will provide valuable insights into the Chemical Industry supply chain needs and requirements of the chemical industry. Participants will gain experience working with corporate experts and decision makers from across the industry who are invested in supporting WBEs that want to grow or innovate their business. As a member of this limited availability, small cohort, you will build relationships with chemical industry executives and other WBEs.

Who Should Apply

Are you a WBE in the Chemical or Manufacturing industries with an innovative or disruptive technology? Are you looking to grow your technical skill-based business to the next level and pivot to the Chemical Industry? You may be ready to join the Chemical Accelerator Program!

Selection Criteria

  • Currently certified in good standing as a WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE)
  • Must be the majority owner of the company
  • Have a minimum of three years experience operating a business
  • Provide goods or services applicable to the Chemical Industry
  • Applicant agrees that upon acceptance, they will participate in all monthly virtual sessions and an in-person culmination event

In applying to this program, you are agreeing to the following commitments:

  • The program will take place over a 8-month timeframe.
  • Approximately 5 sessions virtual and in-person National Conference Kick-Off.

Tuition & Fees

Program tuition generously provided by Corporate Sponsors. If a WBE cancels after acceptance or does not successfully complete the program they will be required to pay $1,500 to WBENC to cover the pre-paid cost for their participation in the program.

WBE participant is responsible for their own National Conference registration and travel cost, along with any travel costs associated with optional sponsor pod opportunities.

Optional field trips may be available per regional availability.

 

Cancellation Policy

If a WBE cancels after acceptance or does not successfully complete the program they will be required to pay $1,500 to WBENC to cover the pre-paid cost for their participation in program.
