About CWE:  The Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) is an economic empowerment organization that helps women start and grow businesses.  With our workshops and individualized consultations for small businesses, we take women from where they are, to where they want to be.  CWE operates 5 Women’s Business Centers and the Veterans Business Outreach Center of New England.  Our main office is in Boston, and we serve New England.

About the conference:  Each year, CWE hosts the Women Business Leaders Conference (WBLC). CWE’s Virtual Women Business Leaders Conference featuring the Women of Color Business Summit is the premier event for women in business, bringing together more than 450 women business leaders, owners, entrepreneurs, community leaders, supplier diversity teams, and purchasing professionals.

Featured is the Women of Color Business Summit, which takes place on the second day of the conference. Women–especially Black and Latinx women–have been profoundly impacted by the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic. But amidst this alarming economic “she-cession,” we are seizing this moment of national reflection as an opportunity to reexamine our lives and turn toward our dreams of entrepreneurship; whether that be launching a new business or growing an existing one. Rather than seeing this downturn turn as the end, we see it as the beginning. This is our time to grow. It’s YOUR time.

Throughout the conference, we offer workshops and small discussions on a number of topics related to building and scaling your business.
