WBEC Pacific | Construction Industry Overview/Roundtable Sessions

Join us on August 9th at 1 pm PST for the Construction Industry Event hosted by WBEC Pacific and Women Construction Owners & Executives (WCOE), California Chapter.

Industry professionals: Jean Bjork, Owner/CEO of Bjork Construction, Lee Cunningham, Chair of Women Construction Owners and Executives (WCOE) Legislative Committee and CEO of BT Metal Sales & Fabrication, Heather Frisch, a Construction Law Attorney at Pierce Kavcioglu Espinosa & Cesar LLP, Shantelle Cabir, Senior Vice President of Newfront Insurance, and Misha Homara, President and CEO of Tricore Panels will share their vast experience and knowledge with those in attendance.

An overview of the benefits of being certified WBEs and the importance of WCOE, for Women in Construction, will kick off the event. Followed by a panel of construction organizational leaders who will discuss:

·What insurance do you really need and why do you need it?

·Legal issues and how they affect GCs

·The scope of indemnification in contracts and how the protect yourself

· Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIP)
