WOMEN’S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (WBE) FORUM LUNCHEON

Join Women’s Business Enterprise Council Ohio River Valley (WBEC ORV) and fellow women business owners (WBEs) for our Lexington WBE Forum Luncheons as we share insight and information for business growth.

Topic: Upskilling Your Workforce: Resources to Impact Attraction, Retention, and Productivity

As our economy begins to recover from the impact of COVID-19, it is more important than ever to invest in workforce development. Companies worldwide have experienced changes that have amplified this imperative, including shifts in business models, disruption of supply chains, and downsizing, among others. As an access point to the workforce ecosystem and a dynamic extension of HR departments, Kentucky Community and Technical College System Workforce Solutions and partners can work with employers to develop customized portfolios of talent-focused initiatives. This session will explore the importance of providing opportunities to build additional technical and soft skills to both incumbent workers and new hires.

Jessie Schook, Executive Director of Workforce Solutions at KCTCS, will lead the session of panelists as they share information about financial resources, incentives, strategic business support programs, and customized training options. Over the last decade, Jessie has held positions touching many facets of education and workforce development, including classroom instruction, curriculum design, and work readiness program development.

Time: 11:30 am – 1:00 pm
