Advice from the Stars

What values have led to and continue to support your business acumen? Share your business philosophy and its influence on your success.

We are in a service industry. I have no physical assets, just people, so treating them right with respect and empowering them has led us to where we are today. The industry we are in is extremely competitive and innovative. Innovation is the key to sustaining in the tech world and to sustain we have to be very proactive and adapt. Understanding and aligning ourselves with customer goals, staying laser-focused to deliver our commitments has been the key to our success.

What are the bigger challenges and barriers you’ve faced as a business owner? How have you overcome them?

At a professional level, each time my business doubled everything seemed to break or fall apart, sales process, finance processes, management information workflow, people leaving, etc…so we take a pause and do a reset. At a personal level being a parent entrepreneur was uniquely challenging to find a work-life balance, so I had to prioritize.

What is your proudest moment in business?

There is no accomplishment too big or too small to find pride in for a business owner. Landing our first customer with our first license sale and subsequent deployment just was the proudest moment! There are many such moments; however, what stands out professionally for our business is winning the Informatica Accredited technology partner of the year award. We are like David vs. Goliath in that space of tech giants, and to be recognized just gave us a trajectory, boosted our employee morale, and opened up a world of opportunity.
