The WBENC team is an active group. When we’re not planning events, managing programs, or assisting WBEs and Corporate Members, you will often find us out and about at area events and conferences to network, promote WBENC, and support women entrepreneurs.
Last month, three members of our team — Amanda Zack, Director of Operations, Avery Trump, Senior Project Manager of Events, and Sidney Switzer, Marketing & Communications Intern — attended the Girlboss Rally in Los Angeles. This conference was aimed at helping small women-owned businesses and female entrepreneurs network and share ideas.

WHY WE WENT:
The Girlboss Rally created a space for female entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, and thought leaders to grow both personally and professionally.
The event provided a stellar environment for connecting ambitious women in business, including sessions about money and pitches to headshots and resume review. The conference featured talks from business moguls such as Paris Hilton, Deborah Yeh of Sephora, and Sallie Krawcheck of Ellevest.
Women-owned businesses were also highlighted at The Bazaar, a curated a collection of their women-founded and women-led shops. Some of the companies featured were Superfit Hero, Kala, The Other Art Fair, and Back Beat Rags.
Part conference and part “experiential inspiration wonderland,” the Girlboss Rally fostered the development of every attendee from startups to corporate employees.
