The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is proud to announce the 23 female founders selected for the prestigious 2019 WBENC Student Entrepreneur Program (SEP) at WBENC's National Conference & Business Fair in Baltimore, Maryland from June 23-26.
SEP is a robust startup program for collegiate female founders supported by title sponsors FedEx and Allstate Insurance Co. With nearly 200 alumnae across the country, SEP is advancing the next generation of women entrepreneurs and each year hosts its on-site program during the WBENC National Conference and Business Fair where students participate in:
A week long on-site tailored entrepreneur curriculum for collegiate female entrepreneurs studying in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) or Business.
Pitch Competition awarding $20,000 in seed capital (1st Place - $10,000, 2nd Place - $6,000, 3rd Place - $4,000)
Mentoring from some of the most successful WBENC- Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBEs) and America’s largest Fortune 500 companies.
Showcase opportunity during the WBENC Business Fair for students to share their businesses with conference attendees.
Experiential learning through off-site visits to WBEs, corporate campuses, and accelerators.
Networking at the WBENC National Conference & Business Fair, the largest women’s business development conference in the country with 5,000+ attendees.
In addition, SEP will welcome five alumnae from prior years as peer advisors to the current participants throughout the week made possible by Alumna Champion Sponsor, Shell Oil Company.
