We hope everyone had an amazing first official day of Summit & Salute! Your energy was contagious — from the Business Lab to the WBENCPitch competition, attendees were laser focused on creating business opportunities and future success.

As we look forward to Wednesday, here are a few things to keep on your radar, a recap of Tuesday’s highlights, and what not to miss on our final day together in Houston.

3 Things to Know

  1. WBENCPitch Continues! On Tuesday, 80 female entrepreneurs pitched their business in front of representatives from America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises. You can watch the semi-finals of our tournament-style pitch competition on Wednesday morning from 9:30 - 12:15 in Harris on Level 3. (Note: the room has been changed from what is in your printed maps.)

  2. We need your feedback! We have made some big and exciting changes to our event format this year, and we want your feedback! Make sure you leave your feedback in the WBENC Mobile App for each of your sessions. There are also paper surveys in each Business Lab room.

  3. We are getting social! There are some amazing moments and insights being shared on social media using our event hashtag #SummitSalute. Join the conversation!

Welcome to Houston! Reception

The rain stayed away long enough for us to enjoy a beautiful, albeit foggy evening on the rooftop pool pavilion. After a jam-packed day of networking and learning, it seemed like everyone was quite ready for cocktail hour and some time to browse the Women Owned Pop-Up Shop!
