Lauren Aitch is an athlete, entrepreneur, fashion designer, philanthropist, and former professional basketball player. In 2017, she added WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise to that list.
“I had so many people telling me, you need to get certified. But as an entrepreneur, you’re just trying to hit the ground running and moving,” she says. “I put it off and put it off. And then I got to a point where I said, “Ok, I really need to check this out.”
After getting certified in 2017, Lauren says, “the floodgates opened up.”
“I believe it was one of the best business decisions I’ve made,” she says. She attended last year’s WBENC National Conference & Business Fair in Las Vegas and was impressed by the connections she was able to make with supplier diversity professionals from major corporations.
“The WBENC National Conference is a place where business gets done,” she says.
