Great for laid back interesting learning about various topics in life from silly to serious.

“Serial” Podcast by This American Life

I just finished the new season of the podcast Serial. I’ve loved the past two seasons, and season 3 took a slightly different approach and looked at the criminal justice system in Cleveland instead of focusing on one particular character.

Nettie Teter, Senior Project Manager, Marketing & Communications

“Wedding Planning Podcast”

It helps me with ideas and staying organized during my engagement.

Jillian Schneeberger, Senior Director, Marketing of Programs & Business Development

I have the joy of listening to my 3-year old daughter SING, constantly. She basically only talks in song these days so it takes up a lot of my “personal time” and I love it!

Jessica carlson, Senior manager, Marketing & Communications

I have a relatively long commute into DC on the Metro every morning, so I live on podcasts! Some of my favorites: It’s Been a Minute with Sam Sanders, Lovett or Leave It (or anything in the Crooked Media family) and The Daily from the New York Times. I’m also currently listening to “The Dream” which is a deep look into multi-level marketing and pyramid schemes.

For Business/Professional Development:

Jillian Schneeberger,  Senior Director, Marketing of Programs & Business Development

“Goal Digger” Podcast by Jenna Kutcher

It helps prioritize and channel creativity.

Laura Swenson, Senior Manager, Events

“Women in Charge” Podcast by Slate Magazine

This is a fantastic podcast about women in leadership roles. It is an interview format where the host sits down with various women leaders and talks about their professional experiences and journeys.

Lindsey All, Senior Manager, Marketing, Programs and Business Development

“Lean In” Audiobook by Sheryl Sandberg

I just finished it. Great content about why we need women leaders.

“How I Built This” Podcast by NPR

Not necessarily related to my job, but for inspiration, I love the podcast How I Built This from NPR. They are always mixing it up by showcasing widely known brands and companies along with obscure or unknown companies. It’s a great way to learn about the companies we interact with, but it also helps me to think creatively.

Andrew Gaeckle, Director, Strategic Planning

“IdeaCast” Podcast by HBR

Great for long road trips.

Nettie Teter, Senior Project Manager, Marketing & Communications

“Social Media Marketing with Michael Stelzner” Podcast

It keeps me up to date on all new things going on in the social media world - which is constantly changing!

Jessica carlson, Senior manager, Marketing & Communications

“Life Kit from NPR” Podcast

This is more personal development, but I like this podcast for its quick, helpful insights on health, exercise, finances and more.
