Q: What did you do before you started at WBENC?

A: Before coming to WBENC, I was a Senior Operations Specialist at B2Gnow, a SaaS solution company focused on providing a comprehensive diversity management functionality. WBENC is a client of B2Gnow and when WBENC came onboard with the B2Gnow family for the WBENCLink2.0 digitization project, I was the Operations Specialist with B2Gnow spearheading the project. I also have a long-standing relationship with the WBENC family, as I was previously a Certification Program Manager with a WBENC Regional Partner Organization (RPO).

Q: What keeps you busy at WBENC?

A: Since I joined the WBENC family in February 2017, I’ve jumped into supporting our Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs), RPOs and Corporate Members by serving as subject matter expert of the WBENCLink2.0 system, as well as overseeing and executing the WBENC MatchMaker, Meet and Greet, and WBE2WBE Connections programs. I am currently implementing a WBENCLink2.0 training platform for all of our constituents and I am excited to learn more as I continue in this role!

Q: What is your favorite part of working at WBENC?

A: I am constantly motivated and inspired by the overall mission and goal of diversity and inclusion. Diversity is the one true thing we all have in common and to be able to celebrate it every day within the WBENC network is truly a blessing. One of my favorite things about working at WBENC is the ability to learn something new every day, and the opportunity to be a part of this movement is very gratifying. Not to mention, my WBENC team is awesome!

Q: What are you passionate about?

A: One of my greatest passions is service by helping others. When I was younger, I enjoyed helping my mom at work on family days. At the time, she worked for Chicanos Por La Causa, a Hispanic nonprofit organization. The seed of service and giving back was planted at a young age. As I grew older, I desired to help others by being a part of the solution. Volunteering has given me the chance to not only work with families as a mentor to young girls but also to learn about nonprofit organizations, which has given me hands-on experience of company operations and helped to shape my career goals.

Q: What do you do for fun outside of work?

A: I love spending time with my family. Health and fitness is something I focus on daily, and I recently changed my routine and started OrangeTheory. I am obsessed! I enjoy the outdoors, hiking and traveling. I’m a lover of yoga, music, food and the arts, which means I’m always searching for new challenging yoga positions, good music, museum exhibits or galleries, and underrated delicious yummy restaurants. These are a few of things that feed my soul!
