AS OF MAY 2012
Welcome Letter for
WBENC National Conference & Business Fair
Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to WBENC’s 2012 National Conference & Business Fair, and to WBENC’s 15th Anniversary – Celebrating 15 Years: Vision, Opportunities, and Success!”
Throughout the year, we will celebrate the tremendous contributions of our Corporate Members, our new Government Members, our 11,000 WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs), and the Regional Partner Organizations that help deliver our COR values of world-class Certification, Opportunities and Resources. Together, we will set the stage for the creation of new business partnerships between corporate and government entities and WBEs – partnerships that generate the ideas that fuel our economy and make our country great.
There is no better place to experience the access and connections to new business opportunities than Orlando, Florida, the location of our 13th annual National Conference & Business Fair. Activities for the 2012 Conference will take place June 19-21 at The Peabody Orlando Hotel and the Orange County Convention Center. The Women's Business Development Council of Florida and its impressive Host Committee will welcome us throughout this event. With more than 3,000 attendees and 325 exhibitors expected, the gathering is the largest of its kind for the nation’s Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs).
This high-powered event will appeal to corporations, government agencies and WBEs. It will include inspirational keynote speakers, skill-building workshops and unparalleled networking forums, such as effective strategies and preparation for accessing the corporate and government marketplaces.
Women business owners can learn ways to enhance their capacity and sophistication to meet marketplace expectations and have the opportunity to generate valuable contacts that may lead to contracts.
It is fitting that as WBENC crosses a milestone birthday, we embrace new strategies for tackling today’s competitive business environment.
Although the U.S. continues to experience a challenging economic climate, WBENC’s 2012 National Conference & Business Fair will help WBEs and our Corporate and Government Members continue to achieve success.
