Meet the New Forum Team Representatives!

The Women’s Enterprise Forum just welcomed a new group of Forum Team Representatives. Each week we’ll introduce a group of them to you and share their insights about the WBENC Network.

Any WBENC-Certified WBE can join the Women’s Enterprise Forum during their in-person meetings on March 21st at the Summit & Salute and on June 19 at the National Conference & Business Fair.

“The networking with women business owners is priceless.  Being able to discuss business practices and problem solving with other women brings a new perspective when evaluation your own business.  And having contacts not only in your RPO but nationwide can provide you with a vast resource.”

“I love networking with my women entrepreneur colleagues across the various industries.  Having this amazing network assures me that I am not alone in my endeavors to build a successful company or in the challenges I face.  They have taught me that if they can do it, I can do it too. To those who strongly believe in giving back to their community and empowering women, WBENC is where you feel most gratified in doing so!”

“The best way to get started is to be present! Start at the local events where you can make connections with local WBEs.  Then build on that on the national level by attending the Summit & Salute and of course the National Conference & Business Fair. There you can meet valuable corporate contacts, and attend workshops to learn how to approach them and work with them. At the same time, you will continue to expand your network of WBEs. It is not just about contracts – it is about the ongoing relationships, and there is nothing that compares to the face-to-face experience.

“To a newly certified WBE I say congratulations! You are on your way to forging a lifetime of relationships both personal and professional. Participate. Attend everything you can. Don’t expect it to happen overnight, be patient. Keep your eyes, ears and mind open.”

“Get involved!  Set a time limit on how long you will be ALL IN.  Meet people.  Take risks.  Be open.  There is nothing to lose!”
