The Women’s Enterprise Forum just welcomed a new group of Forum Team Representatives. Each week we’ll introduce a group of them to you and share their insights about the WBENC Network.
Any WBENC-Certified WBE can join the Women’s Enterprise Forum during their in-person meetings on March 21st at the Summit & Salute and on June 19 at the National Conference & Business Fair.
“Get involved! Stay involved! Come to events, ask questions, listen, be kind and generous. Yes you might be new. Maybe you are small, but you have something to offer everyone that you meet. Be selfless not selfish. It takes a while to become comfortable when you are learning how the organization works. Introduce yourself to strangers and learn about what their businesses. Ask them to share their stories, their successes and their failures. You will quickly learn that you are not alone. We are a supportive community just waiting to welcome you.”

“I’ve been able to meet so many other brilliant women across the country and network with them, as well as assist the newer members with their quest for a better understanding of what “next steps” to take. I’m in my 50’s and I have to share that this is the first group I’ve belonged to that I truly feel wants to know me and help me develop to be as successful as I want to be.”
“Make sure to attend all the events that you can that are hosted by your Regional Partner Organization and attend the two national WBENC meetings as well. I have recently identified a partnership opportunity with another WBE in my space. She does something a bit different than my area of specialty, but what I do and what she is an expert at go together. We will partner on some specific opportunities going forward.”

“I have had the opportunity to partner with other WBE’s both as supplier partners and group members which creates a competitive advantage by increasing profits and reducing costs. I find partnering with other WBE’s is not only important but strategic.”
