Around the Town in Orlando

We’ve planned full days for you at our National Conference & Business Fair (NCBF), including educational workshops and panels, 1:1 MatchMaker meetings and networking opportunities, and fun receptions that will support our goal of “Creating Magic Together.” But we also want you to explore your surrounding and get to know our host city! After all, NCBF is conveniently located right next to the Happiest Place on Earth. Here are some of our picks for enjoying Orlando.

Special Offer from Disney

Make time for Magic and extend your stay in Orlando! Take advantage of special offers for our conference attendees from Disney including discounted Theme Park Tickets and Walt Disney World Resort rates.

Eat

The easiest place to grab a bite during the conference is at your hotel. WBENC has room blocks at the Hyatt Regency Orlando and Rosen Plaza. Both hotels are adjacent to the Orange County Conference Center and offer multiple dining options. You’ll find steakhouses, seafood, buffet dining, and a sandwich shop in case you need to eat on the go between conference events.

Consider reserving a table down the street at Capital Grille for dry-aged steaks and fine wines. If you want a change of scenery, the Copper Canyon Grill is about half a mile from the conference center. They serve a range of American favorites and offer a robust gluten-free menu. For local flavors, stop in the Everglades Restaurant for alligator chowder and Florida grouper and grits.

Drink

Similarly, you can find active nightlife only a few feet from the conference center. Stop in at Rocks at the Hyatt for cocktails and sports on big-screen TVs. If you packed your dancing heels, check out Club 39. There’s indoor and outdoor space to enjoy the Florida summer. A short distance away from the conference center, Howl at the Moon offers live music and nightly drink specials.

Play

Although NCBF schedule will keep you busy, Orlando has plenty of opportunities—including one with a famous mouse—for you to have fun and take full advantage of the conference.

A round of golf is a time-honored way for business owners to unwind and talk shop. Give it a playful spin by opting for mini-golf. Pirate’s Cove is a mile and a half from the conference center. The course was named Florida’s best mini-golf by Orlando Magazine and features elaborate landscaping and challenging hole designs.

The Orlando Improv Comedy Club is another fun option for after hours. The company showcases big names and upcoming local talent in comedy. Round up a few new connections and enjoy some laughs as a group. You might even learn a trick or two—after all, great comedy and great business require people who can think on their feet.

Shop

Three miles up International Drive from the conference center, Orlando International Premium Outlets offers outdoor mall-style shopping. Find outlet bargains to update your business wardrobe, or just relax before the next full day of NCBF events.

If you promised your kids a Disney souvenir (or want one yourself—we don’t judge), take a quick cab ride to The Florida Mall. Besides the Disney Store, you’ll find major department stores and prominent retailers like Michael Kors.
