The Zenith Group
In 2005, the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and the Women Presidents' Organization (WPO) formally launched an exciting program called The Zenith Group, for those women owned businesses with revenues of $50 million and above. The Zenith Group brings together WBENC and WPO peers from across the country to drive business breakthroughs at meetings three times during a year in different locations. The objectives of this special group are to:
- Develop cutting edge information and strategies for successful and fast growth companies.
- Provide high level business meetings and promote business development opportunities with Fortune 1000 companies.
- Change the way women-owned businesses are perceived in corporate America and the media.
Meeting topics include growth issues; global expansion; exit strategies and succession planning; finding and developing good people; and economic, demographic, scientific, and political trends that may affect business.
The Zenith Group was created due to compression in the corporate supply chain resulting in their demand for larger women business enterprises. The group is a resource for corporations and serves as a dynamic forum where highly motivated, highly successful business women can harness the momentum of their successes and aim for greater profits and bigger dreams.
The Zenith Group is led by Linda Denny, WBENC President and Marsha Firestone, Ph.D., President and Founder of WPO. The group is facilitated by Barbara Roberts of Roberts & Company.
