Annual Salute to Women's Business Enterprises
2007
In March 2007, WBENC celebrated its 10th Anniversary with a very special
Salute to Women's Business Enterprises: The Enterprising Economy. For the first time in its history, the annual black-tie gala took place in Dallas, Texas, the city in which WBENC was founded. It marked the growth of WBENC from a start-up organization to the nation's leading advocate for women's business enterprises (WBEs) as suppliers to corporate America. A VIP reception honoring the 2006 Top Corporations was also held prior to the open reception on Thursday, March 29th. More than 1,100 guests attended the 10th Anniversary Salute at The Fairmont Hotel that same evening.
2008
On Thursday, March 20, 2008, the elegant Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC will serve as the backdrop for WBENC's annual Salute event. The Salute highlights the contributions of WBEs to the United States economy and pays tribute to the Women Business Enterprise Stars of 2008. It also recognizes the corporations and government agencies that provide WBEs with growth opportunities in today's competitive marketplace. The Salute includes an open reception followed by dinner, a brief awards program, plus a dessert buffet reception and after-party. A VIP reception honoring the 2007 Top Corporations will be held immediately prior to the general reception on Thursday.
